Kids can say the funniest things. One evening my kids were discussing bellybuttons. They thought God just poked you in the belly and thats how you got a bellybotton. Then they asked, "Does Jesus have a bellybutton?" We said yes and they asked if God gave it to Him and then they wanted to know, "Does God have a bellybotton?". They also wanted to know if angels burp! Once after a baptizmal service in our church, we were on our way to church when Rodney saw some cows in a pond. He said, "Look those cows are baptizing!". One day they were playing in our garage with the cat and Rodney came in and said, "Mom, I think something is wrong with the cat. He won't "meow". I think he has run out of "Meows!". This summer all four of them spent a week at my parents house. They had been outside playing when they ran in and told my mom they had found a dinosaur bone. It was actually a foot from a turkey my dad had killed. When my mother told them it wasn't a dinosaur bone Wesley told the others, "I told you it wasn't big enough to be a dinosaur bone!" Yes, they are quadruplets! Rodney, Wesley, Amanda, and Jarrod Tinnin were born 6/20/95 at Norman Oklahoma. They are five years old now and doing great. Born 9 weeks early, Wesley weighed 1.12, Rodney weighed 2.08, Amanda weighed 2.13.5, and Jarrod weighed 2.13. They are my four little miracles from God. |

As of October 7, 2001 there are 1410 sets of Quadruplets in the world. In 1995 there were 91.25 sets of quadruplets born in the U.S. Until 1997, Alison, Brooke, Claire, and Darcy Hanson, were the only set of identical quadruplet girls in the world! Thomas (Disciple of Jesus) had a twin, the twin's name is unknown.(John 20:24) A woman from Italy had 11 sets of fraternal twins in 11 years - not all of the survived. Feodor Vassilyev from Shuya Russia (18th Century), had 69 children by his first wife. This included sixteen pairs of twins, seven sets of triplets and four sets of quadruplets. Sixty-seven of these children survived infancy. This fact is listed in the Guinness Book of World Records. I sure hope he was rich!! Mrs. Mary Jonas (d 1899) had 15 sets of boy/girl twins. Nigeria holds the worlds record for multiple births. WIlliam Shakespeare had boy/girl twins Cleopatra (ruler of Egypt - 46 BC) and Mark Antony were parents of twins - Alexander Helios and Cleopatra Selene. Elvis had a twin that died at birth There were 6 sets of multiples in the movie "Runaway Bride". So far, we have been very fortunate. We have only had one broken bone. That was when Wesley pushed Rodney off the bed and broke his arm. Although Amanda thinks she is Tarzan and was swinging from a light ficture when she was 2, she has never broken any bones. They are all very close. They love to play "pretend" and one day I heard them say "Lets pretend we are twins". I guess the don't realize they really are. |
